September means back to school, back to routine and back to chaos in the morning! Trying to get everyone ready and fed a good breakfast before getting out the door can be a difficult task. There never seems to be enough time in the mornings! I have the perfect solution for busy families, workaholics and college students that value sleep more than anything! Easy overnight oatmeal that’s ready when you are. Spare 3 minutes before bed and you have the most delicious and easy breakfast waiting for you in the morning – it’s like having magic breakfast elves that work while you sleep 🙂 The  oats transform into the creamiest breakfast porridge perfect for busy, on the go individuals.

Oatmeal porridge is so versatile and perfect for the cooler fall weather. It’s comforting, filling and gives you that stick to your ribs breakfast to power you through your busy morning. Everyone has there own favourites when it comes to flavours and toppings – no problem! Make individual servings in the same time as it takes to make one large batch. Bring the kiddos into the kitchen to get creative and make their own breakfast that they will be excited to eat in the morning. Don’t have kids? You can still have fun and add variety to your morning by creating different flavour combinations to keep the work week exciting!

I love the classic combination of vanilla and mixed berries, but you could also make peanut butter and maple syrup oats! Cinnamon raisin oats! Apple pie oats! How about embracing the pumpkin everything mentality and create a perfectly fall pumpkin spice version? Get creative and let me know what your favourite combination is. Easy Oatmeal Breakfast
Recipe Type: Breakfast

Overnight oats are one of the easiest and more versatile breakfasts around. Perfect for busy families and workaholics!
Ingredients
  • Vanilla and Berries
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • fresh fruit (for topping)
  • Cinnamon Raisin
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 3 Tbsp apple sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • raisins
Instructions
  1. Add everything to a mason jar, put the lid on and give it a good shake.
  2. Put in the fridge overnight.
  3. in the morning top with the fruit and enjoy!
