The weekend is almost here and you know what that means. Afternoon BBQ’s and day drinking are totally acceptable 🙂 Weekends are the time to enjoy time with your family and friends. Kick back and relax. Have a little fun and forget the stress of the work week. Weekends were created for fun and making memories. What better way to do that than throwing a backyard bash!
I went to a backyard BBQ last weekend with family and it was just what the doctor ordered. Surrounded by those I love, having meaningful conversations, catching up on life and making memories. It was relaxing and full of laughs. Nothing makes you feel happier than laughing and goofing around with great company. We sat under the twinkling solar lights, roasted marshmallows around a fire and exchanged stories and experiences. It was pretty perfect!
Make memories this weekend and throw a backyard BBQ. Invite who ever you like, play some music, serve some good food and just let your hair down. Life’s too precious to spend the entire time stressing over the little things.
Keep the food easy and make ahead and you are sure to impress with out the stress. BBQ some meat (whatever you eat) and serve some salads for our vegetarian friends. Summer quinoa salad is delicious, with a nice leafy green salad or pesto pasta salad, and of course some type of dessert, fudgesicles or crowd pleasing cookies. A BBQ wouldn’t be a celebration without a signature drink. This Raspberry Green Tea Fizz is the perfect refreshing beverage. Keep it virgin or add some rum or vodka for a grown up twist. Warning, be prepared to host another BBQ next weekend, because everyone will be wanting to come back!
